Ouachita Parish Warrant Records Ouachita Parish Warrant Records

Questions about an actual Ouachita Parish warrant belong with the office that holds the record, not with us. This page explains the limits on what we can answer and then routes each common request to the right desk in the parish.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm that a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice to anyone. For any of those, contact the office holding the record or the court that issued it.

Most questions that reach us fit one of four patterns. Here is where each one goes in Ouachita Parish:

  • Whether a warrant exists: start with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office Records and Identification Division, which keeps sheriff-held warrant records and can take a name and date of birth
  • A missed court date: call the court that set the case, since the bench warrant stays with that court. That may be Monroe City Court, West Monroe City Court, the Richwood or Sterlington mayor's court, a justice-of-the-peace court, or the Fourth Judicial District Court
  • Clearing or recalling a warrant: speak with a licensed Louisiana attorney and the issuing court about a recall motion, a walk-in appearance, or bond
  • A charge filed in district court: the Fourth Judicial District Court controls the charge and bond, and the sheriff's office or a city agency serves the process
